Biography

Hank Su, Ren-Han is a Taiwanese-born violinist and conductor. After graduating with a Masters Degree from the National Taiwan University of Arts and furthering his studies at the To-Ho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo under several renowned violin teachers, Ren-Han performed around the world. Apart from regular performances in his native Taiwan, he has appeared in concerts in Hong Kong, Japan, the USA, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, and Hungary. In 2002, he was invited to perform at the "Spring of Prague Music Festival" and in 2003, he performed as an invited guest at the Chopin Hall in Warsaw for "Poland Modern Music Festival".
As a student, Ren-Han ranked first at the Taiwan National Violin Exam for his university. He was also selected to participate in masterclasses for Isaac Stern, Szymon Goldberg, and Mischa Maisky.
Recognised as a teacher himself with unique teaching abilities, his students have won scholarships to study abroad. Many have also gained top marks and prizes in international examinations as well as at international music competitions in Japan (Sendai International Violin Competition), Austria (Brahms International Competition), Taiwan (T.S.O. Strings Competition), and China (Qin-Dao International Violin Competition).
